Looking for Enlapser Cloud beta users

We have just published a beta-version of Enlapser Cloud, a start of a complete rewrite of our service. The main focus of this beta release is our new still-player, which is now ready for testing. We believe it is already a lot better than the old one, even though there may still be some issues. You can explore the beta at https://beta.enlapser.cloud To participate, you need to be a subscriber — meaning you have an active project and user account — and you must be granted beta access. Beta access can be requested directly through the form on the front page. We will also be contacting some beta users for user interviews and feedback.

Improved image quality by switching to WebP compression

We got some complaints about the image quality on some locations with lot’s of details combined with areas of even colors. Our old image compression algorithm was not handling this situation well and this caused colorized areas to appear in the taken picture. We have now an update to our cameras to compress using the modern WebP-format which is also widely supported by browsers and OS’s and will improve the image quality in these cases clearly. We had already started using this format for our upcoming OneLens-cameras, and we have now successfully back ported this to our current cameras as well. We are rolling out this update to some clients first and once we have verified that everything works as it should we will update this to all cameras. Expect an update to your camera after the summer 2025 unless we inform you of an update earlier. If you want to try it out immediately, let our support know and we can roll it out to your cameras sooner.

Domain failure for enlapser.cloud caused interruption in service / Verkkotunnusongelma aiheutti katkon palvelussa / Domänfel för enlapser.cloud orsakade avbrott i tjänsten (2025-01-03)

Due to a marking error we made, we had a failure in our automatic domain renewal process, which caused a few hours' interruption in the enlapser.cloud service. The problem has been corrected, and services are returning to normal as DNS caches are being updated. This affected only our frontend services, and the cameras have all been operating normally throughout the outage. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage. Virhemerkinnästä johtuen verkkotunnuksen uusimisprosessi ei onnistunut ja enlapser.cloud verkkopalvelussa oli muutaman tunnin katkos. Virhetilanne on korjattu ja palvelut palautuvat, kun DNS-palvelimien välimuistit päivittyvät. Tämä koski vain käyttöliittymäpalveluitamme ja kaikki kamerat ovat toimineet normaalisti koko katkon ajan. Pahoittelemme palvelumme katkosta aiheutunutta häiriötä.
