Zoom-function for still-player (beta)
A customer asked if we could get a zoom function for the new player in beta. This has been on the internal roadmap and we’ve been thinking about this for a while already and have some designs already in mind that we will implement soon. We are still working on how the zooming will work, will it immediately load full-res pics (which will slow down the action) or will the user separately ask for full-res. Also need to figure out exactly how zooming will work on desktop with mouse vs. touch device.

Seems like in the latest update the zip-download is not grabbing high-res pics if available, but always downloading scaled pics from the player.

Some users had problems logging in to enlapser.cloud
An update in our login system had a bug that caused new logins to fail. A fix was in place in minutes after we had identified the problem and new logins should work normally now.

Calendar popup cannot be closed. Touch controls are not working properly, for example image-canvas-taps. Need proper testing and development with mobile in mind.

Improved image quality by switching to WebP compression
We got some complaints about the image quality on some locations with lot’s of details combined with areas of even colors. Our old image compression algorithm was not handling this situation well and this caused colorized areas to appear in the taken picture. We have now an update to our cameras to compress using the modern WebP-format which is also widely supported by browsers and OS’s and will improve the image quality in these cases clearly. We had already started using this format for our upcoming OneLens-cameras, and we have now successfully back ported this to our current cameras as well. We are rolling out this update to some clients first and once we have verified that everything works as it should we will update this to all cameras. Expect an update to your camera after the summer 2025 unless we inform you of an update earlier. If you want to try it out immediately, let our support know and we can roll it out to your cameras sooner.

enlapser.cloud downtime 3.6.2025 - 4.6.2025 due to platform load balancing issues
Our platform provider had a sudden spike in load on the main database serving frontend services. The problem caused sudden unexpected crash of our frontend services also. A fix was put into place late on Tuesday for the platform itself, but requires us to hotfix our codebase to get us up-and-running again. This work is now ongoing and we expect to be up again by end-of-day Wednesday 4th of June. We sincerely apologize for this extended downtime and we’ll be working hard to make sure this will not happen again. We will update on the situation here as the rollout of the fix progresses.

Työmaakamera hyvä Hvt:n ruuhkien tunnistamiseen. (Lähteekö bussilla vai autolla rautatieasemalle). Se laahaa kuitenkin pahasti jäljessä: 8:30 näytetään kuvaa 8:19, eikä + min, +h, jne näppäimet toimi eikä niiden logiikkaa aukaistu( onko vain koristeena jonkun avoimen koodin jäljiltä.eikä poistettu UIstä vai onko joku funktio)

Due to a marking error we made, we had a failure in our automatic domain renewal process, which caused a few hours' interruption in the enlapser.cloud service. The problem has been corrected, and services are returning to normal as DNS caches are being updated. This affected only our frontend services, and the cameras have all been operating normally throughout the outage. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage. Virhemerkinnästä johtuen verkkotunnuksen uusimisprosessi ei onnistunut ja enlapser.cloud verkkopalvelussa oli muutaman tunnin katkos. Virhetilanne on korjattu ja palvelut palautuvat, kun DNS-palvelimien välimuistit päivittyvät. Tämä koski vain käyttöliittymäpalveluitamme ja kaikki kamerat ovat toimineet normaalisti koko katkon ajan. Pahoittelemme palvelumme katkosta aiheutunutta häiriötä. We had an unforeseen database connection interruption in the morning that our still-transport system did not recover from. We have just a moment ago got a fix in place and now the pics are being delivered again. Cameras have been shooting all the time and all pics were saved and should be available in the player soon. You might experience some delay in the latest picture showing up as the servers will be busy delivering the morning pics for a short while still. We apologies for the interruption. We are investigating the root cause to make sure this will not happen again.

Our Presentation video product of course allows showing of the month or date on the video somewhere in the corner or bottom, since they go through our video producer who can add these easily during editing. For our lighter almost automatically generated Timelapse-videos this has not been possible, but we have gotten already a few requests from customers that they would be very happy with having this feature also on these videos. Please let us know, if this is something you wish to see us offer by adding an upvote.
